ST 40 SW BROADWINDSOR HIGH STREET, EAST SIDE 4-12-1951 4/42 The Old Vicarage, (formerly listed as The Vicarage)
GV II
Detached House. c.1800. Rubble-stone walls and a brick facade in Flemish bond. Stone rusticated quoins, and a brick plat band between the ground and first floor. Hipped slate roof with parallel rear roofs, 2 stone stacks with moulded cornices on the rear ridges. One C20 stack on left rear gable. 2 storeys and a cellar below. 3 windows, tripartite sashes with glazing-bars, and a single sash centre upper floor. Front door at centre, flush-panelled, with panelled reveals and moulded architrave. Semi-circular fanlight over. Early C19. Wooden canopy over, with dentil cornice and moulded wooden brackets, C19. Interior: front left, wide elliptical-arched recess with ribbed panels in gable wall. Palmette cornice. Window shutters.
