DURSLEY SILVER STREET ST 7598 (north side) 5/60 Samuel Trotman monument in the churchyard approximately 8m north of tower to Church of St. James GV II

Pedestal tomb. Early C19. Sandstone. Square with recessed corners. Alternating raised oval and rectangular side inscription panels; fluted frieze with paterae. Shallow domical and moulded top; moulded pedestal base. Inscriptions illegible but tomb is recorded as being that of Sam Trotman, trumpeter in Dursley Yeomanry and landlord of Golden Hart Inn in Long Street. (A.
