In the entry for RADWINTER THE VILLAGE 34/650 The Old Forge

Part 2 of the entry should be amended to read:

Probably late C15. Timber-framed house with 2 bay hall, now floored, solar and service bays. Weather-boarded. Pantilled roof, half hipped at west end, One storey and attics. Small casement windows. Modern gabled porch projects on the front. Inserted central stack.

Interior: pair of arched doorways in cross passage to service bay. Remains of hall windows preserved in front and back walls. Arched braces to the tie hews. (RCHM 10). Essex Journal Spring 1974, page 28'.

2. Timber-framed building of C17 origin, weather-boarded. One storey and attics. Small casement windows. A modern gabled porch projects on the front. Roof pantiled half hipped at the west end, with a central square chimney stack. (RCHM 10).
