10/122 Pair of Mayo monuments, about 2m east of John Cornock (d.1794) monument in churchyard of Church of St. Mary the Virgin
GV II
Two chest tombs. John Mayo (of Breadstone) died 1735 (to north), John Mayo died 1718 (to south). Limestone. Flat tops, moulded plinth and capping. To north: Panelled corner piers with raised round-arched end panels. Sides have 2 octagonal raised panels to south divided by relief strip, raised oval panel to north with relief foliage in spandrels and flanking reliefs. To south: plain east end. West end and sides have plain fielded panels (2 on sides) divided by relief strips.
