8/83 Lych gate to St Mary's churchyard

GV II

Lych gate. Built 1880, in memory of John Harvey of Ickwell Bury. Oak, with clay tiled roof. Small open structure with gabled roof. Square pier with decorative carving at each corner. Balustrades to both sides, with chamfered balusters, surmounted by 3 turned supports to each side. Both gable ends have pierced decorative bargeboards.
