11/181 The North Bridge, N of 11.10.73 Middle Pond

Bridge. Probably earlier C19 for 3rd Lord Ongley. Stamped "Cato and Sons London", Ornate cast iron hump-backed bridge. Balustrades spiral round at ends to terminate in newel posts with finials imitating burning brands. Handrail is supported by developed anthemion panels separated by groups of fairly plain balusters.
