Uniform terrace houses. 1732 by John Meard, with some C19 and mid C20 alterations. Stock brick, stuccoed below 1st floor sills. 4 storeys, No. 2 retaining basement area. No. 2 has doorway to right with later doorcase and cornice. Nos. 4 and 6 have mid C20 shop fronts embracing house doorways. No. 2 has flush framed casements whilst Nos 4 and 6 have flush framed sashes with later C19 glazing, under flat red brick gauged arches. Parapets with stone copings. Wrought iron area railings to No. 2. Interiors panelled and finished in a superior style to Nos. 1 to 21 (odd), but mutilated and partly boxed-in at No. 2; passage-halls, dog leg staircase with Doric column balusters and newels, cut bracket strings, panelling raised and fielded on ground and 1st floor with dentilled box cornices; to centre of ground floor front room back wall of No. 4 is a Doric pilastered recess with ovolo moulded elliptical archivolt; fluted Doric pilasters with enriched capitals to passage openings into staircases etc. See also the contemporary Nos. 1 to 7 Meard Street and Nos. 67 to 70 Dean Street by Meard.
