Details
TINTAGEL SX 08 NE 4/161 Menadue II House. Possibly late C18. Slate stone rubble, rendered and painted on front elevation and slate hung on right hand gable end. Slate roof with gable ends and granite end stacks with moulded caps. Lower 2-storey service wings to rear, the left hand wing with a gable end and the right hand wing with a hipped end and a rendered brick stack. Front range of 2 room plan with entrance and cross passage to left of centre; 2 reception rooms, with larger room on right, heated by gable end stacks. The C19 stair to the rear of the cross passage is accommodated in a lean-to outshot and is flanked by 2 low 2-storey service wings of 1 room plan, the right hand wing probably the kitchen, heated by a lateral stack. 2 storeys. Regular 3-window front with the fenestration disposed towards the left and the entrance to left of centre. 2 early C19 20-pane hornless sashes flank a C20 glazed, rendered lean-to porch with a part glazed C20 door within. 3 early C19 16- pane hornless sashes on first floor. To rear 2 low 2-storey service wings with lean- to outshot between. Interior not inspected.
