9/126 Old Hall Farmhouse 27.9.65 including railed forecourt with columns (formerly listed as Old Hall Farmhouse).

G V II

House and wall. Dated 1793. Hammer-dressed stone, watershot to south front, rubble sides and rear, dressed quoins, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 3-bay facade. Central doorway with monolithic jambs and triangular pediment the tympanum inscribed with date. To left 2-light flat-faced mullioned window, probably with tripartite sash originally; same over to 1st floor. 3rd bay has single-light window with plain stone surrounds. Paired square-sectioned gutter brackets. Coped gables with kneelers and stacks. Rear has 3 bays of windows. 1st bay has 2-light window (for cellar) with same over to 1st floor. Central stairwindow. 3rd bay has window lacking mullions of same size as that over to 1st floor of 3-lights with slightly recessed flat-faced mullions. Attached to left return wall is lean-to with doorway with monolithic chamfered lintel. Roof raised mid C20. Central bay of square windows with plain stone surrounds. Same to right return wall but with 2-light window to attic.

Interior: lean-to covers gable-entry doorway with composite jambs and chamfered surround.

Attached to south-west corner of house is rubble wall at right angles, which joins ashlar front wall with 4 tall turned columns surmounted by ball finials.
