Farmhouse. Probably C17, altered C18 and c1950. Rubble, c1950 roughcast, slate roof, end stacks. T-plan, 2 storeys, 3 windows, mainly c1950 case- ements evenly spaced: 2 in main range one in cross-wing, small contemporary window to left of porch, one early C19 6-light window to right of porch, 3-light early C19 segmentally headed window to ground floor cross-wing. Entrance under gabled c1950 porch through pegged and moulded C17 door frame and mid-C20 door. Interior: re-positioned plank and muntin screen separates large principal room from cross-wing. To rear end of screen a moulded door- head leads to pantry which is partitioned off from the rest of the ground floor of the cross-wing by longitudinal plank and muntin screen which has yet another screen above it on first floor to rear of straight C19 staircase which rises from the middle of the first screen into the cross-wing. Room above pantry is reached through segmental headed doorway in the last screen and has 4 C17 wooden brackets with concentric diamond pattern attached to inside of wall-plate of rear wall. Roof has 2 bays to each part, left hand truss of main range is embedded in gable: A-frame with raking struts from collar. This form alternates with open triangular uncollared braces.
