Terrace of four houses and shops, built in 1819, altered in the C20.

MATERIALS: Flemish bond brickwork; all but 143 High Street are painted. There are brick party wall chimney stacks and a tiled roof.

PLAN: double-depth plan.

EXTERIOR: the terrace is of three storeys. From left to right the front elevation comprises 3:2:2:2 bays, with a cill band between the first and second floors, a cornice, and a parapet. There are original six-over-six-pane sash windows and three-over-three sashes to the first and second floors respectively of 143 and 147 and plate-glass sash windows to the second floor of 145. 149 High Street has two-over-two pane sashes to the first and second floors. The ground-floor shop fronts are C20.

INTERIOR: the ground floors have been altered.
