3/48 Corner Cottage

G.V. II

Cottage. c.1700 with C20 addition. Timber framed with brick- nogging, rendered and colourwashed. Hipped pantile roof with single red brick stacks to ridge and to left. Set on a rubble plinth. One and a half storeys, 4 bays. Originally a 3 bay cottage. C20 porch with cat slide roof, having double glazing liar door flanked by single glazing bar casements, with similar larger casements in each side wall and inner C20 stable door. To the right is a single C20 glazing bar casement. To the left is a single similar casement and further left a single large C20 glazing bar casement. Above is a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash with a small glazing bar casement to the left, and further left a single sloping dormer with 3 C20 glazing bar casements. To the left is a lean-to extension with single C20 glazing bar casement. Interior has reasonably complete timber frame including many visible posts, wall plates and beams.
