4/70 Barn, cow house, stable and pig sties about 25 yards north-west of Wern _ Farmhouse
GV II
Barn, cow house, stable and pig sties. Late C17 to mid-C18. Rubble, stone slate roof. Local type plan of barn with cow house and stable incorporated at either end, with lower added pig sties to left of cow house part. Six roof bays, one vent-slit either side of full-height doors in second bay from left. To right, 2 ledged doors to cow house and then to far right. Stable door with loft door in right hand gable end. Three pig sties are attached to left gable end: 2 ledged doors to left of centre and one to right hand side. Interior: barn, cow house, stable part has raking struts and collars with very pronounced cambers. Half struts to pig sties are pegged. All four parts make an unusually complete ensemble with even the pig sties retaining their stone slate roof.
