Details
MONKTON MONKTON STREET TR 26 SE (North side) 3/62 Walters Hall Farmhouse 26.10.72 II House. Mid C17. Red brick in English Bond , and extended with late C18 brown brick. Plain tiled roof. Two storeys and basement on plinth with plat band and pedimented Dutch gable to right return. Stack cluster to left and stacks projecting and offset to centre and at end right. Three glazing bar sashes and 3 oval windows, the centre one blocked, on first floor, and 3 glazing bar sashes and small wooden casement to right on ground floor all with basket-arched heads. C20 raking porch to centre left with panelled door, behind it the original C17 door of 12 ribbed and studded panels with strap hinges. Basement openings to left. Interior: inglenook with coved overmantel; moulded stopped joists.
