Details
ST NICHOLAS AT WADE THE LENGTH TR 26 NE (north side) 1/91 Elder Cottage and adjoining cottage 25.6.71 GV II Cottage pair. Late C17 remodelled C19. Red brick and flint on left return, red brick elsewhere rendered with asbestos tiled roof. Single storey with attic. Corbelled brick eaves to roof with shaped gables, 2 raking dormers and stacks to end left and to right. Irregular fenestration of glazing bar sashes to left and right, with half-glazed door to left, double half glazed door to centre with sidelights, and boarded door to right in glazed porch. Left return (road front): flint plinth, ground floor flint with brick diaper, dogtooth platband, first floor of brick with flint diaper and segmental shaped gable with worn inscription plaque.
