Detached house. C17. Ham stone ashlar, and some cut and squared work; thatched roof between coped gables: brick chimney stacks on stone bases. Two storeys with attic, 4 bays, of which bays 3 and 4 are in ashlar. Ovolo-mould mullioned windows, 3-light above except bay 1 which is 2- light, under shared square labels in pairs; below 4-light windows under separate labels to bays 2 and 4; lower bay 3 has a C19 angled bay window with plain sashes and stepped hipped stone roof: to lower bay 1 a moulded cambered-arched doorway with square label over deep lintol, having an early C20 part-glazed door. In south gable 3-light hollow-chamfer mullioned windows; against north gable a single-storey extension under triple roll clay tile roof. Interior not seen, but reported is a modified internal plan, with fine ogee-mould flat arched fireplace in south room, and collar beam trusses. About 2.5m from house, with curved sweeps back up to house, a stone wall about 1.2m high with thin shaped coping; opposite the doorway 2 square piers with stepped tops ending in ball finials; off north-west corner a low stone stile to the public footpath which runs along the north side of the property, contributing to the setting of the house.
