Details

WESTGATE 1. 5113 (North Side) Almondbury Nos 21A, 21 and 23 SE 1614 45/1380 II 2. C18, possibly C17. Rendered. Pitched stone slate roof. No 21A has plain but attractive C19 shopfront, door with 3-centred arched head. No 21 has shopfront with 3-light stone mullioned window and door with moulded panels. 3-light stone muullioned sash with contemporary glazing bars on 1st floor. No 23 has single-light shop window and late C19 door, with 2-light stone mullioned window on 1st floor. End gable of No 21A has 5-light stone mullioned window, 4 lights blocked. Rear of No 21A has slight projection with one range of 3-light stone mullioned sashes with glazing bars. Nos 21 and 23 have one 4-light stone mullioned casement each on 1st floor and one 2-light stone mullioned casement each on ground floor. Mullions at rear have chamfered profiles.
