TQ 2781 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER OLD MARYLEBONE ROAD NW1 42/12 No 207 including No 1 5.2.70 Homer Row (formerly listed under Marylebone Road) GV II House. Early C19. Yellow stock brick, ground floor stuccoed, Welsh slate roof. 3 storeys with basement and dormers. 4 x 3 bays, the left-most bays to front form No 207, the right bay forms the return of No 1 Homer Row. Entrance to right of centre: 6-panel door under fanlight with radial glazing in round-arched double recess with palmette motifs to imposts and Coade stone head to key of outer arch. Round-arched sashes with glazing bars. First floor band of rosettes in stucco. Above, recessed sashes under gauged brick flat arches. Sashes to No 207 have glazing bars, No 1 has part glazing bars and part plate glass. The tall 1st floor windows have plain bowed railings. Parapet rebuilt to left. Homer Row front: central later C19 4-panel door with overlight. Sash with glazing bars to left. Blocked window to right. Further sashes partly with glazing bars and one casement to outer bays above; central blind windows. All windows have gauged brick flat arches. Mansard roof. Area railings to left of Homer Row front have fleur-de-lys and spiked urn finials.
