Town hall. Built by the third Earl of Egremont in 1793. Two storeys. Seven windows facing east. Sandstone ashlar. Stringcourse. Modillion cornice and parapet. The three centre window-bays project with pediment over. Hipped slate roof. Glazing bars intact. The ground floor windows are round-headed the first floor windows set in round-headed arcading with pilasters flanking them. The north front has three windows and on the first floor a stone bust of William III on a pedestal.
