Friends' meeting house, now house. Datestone reads: 'LN/ANNO/DOMINI/1677'. Stone rubble with slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays, the 3rd bay with large 2-storey gabled porch. 1st 2 bays have large windows with small-paned casements, replacing sashes inserted in 1772; 3rd bay has small round-headed window to 1st floor; 4th bay has windows with small-paned fixed glazing that to 1st floor with opening light. Round arch to porch has datestone above; wide-boarded door with latch and strap hinges. Gable-end stack. Left return has C20 inserted window. Rear has later outbuilding under catslide roof. Interior has C17 bolection-moulded panelling to right of entrance, the upper panels hinged, formerly the gallery to the meeting house. Balcony over entrance. Stair has turned balusters. Later panelling now on gable-end wall. Some 2-panelled doors. Room under gallery has panelling, and bench with inscription: 'HBM 1714'; spice cupboard with door. High front garden wall has entrance in porch with gabled roof. A rare early example of a Friends' Meeting House, very few being built before the Act of Toleration of 1689.
