2 houses. Newton Hall Cottage has exposed narrow stone inscribed: 'ROGER ; BARROW : HOVS : AP : 24 : 1673'. Roughcast with slate roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays, the 1st bay gabled, forming end of Jessamine Cottage. 1st bay has pentice under dripcourse with projecting bay window to right. Most windows. are sashed with vertical glazing bars, those to 3rd bay with horns, the ground floor with 2 windows; 2nd bay of 1st floor has pivoted window; 1st bay has windows with small-paned fixed glazing with opening lights. Entrance to 2nd bay has wide-boarded door with latch. Cross-axial stack. Left return of 2 bays has windows with small-paned fixed glazing with opening lights, 2 to ground-floor with one to 1st floor above; entrance has wide-boarded door with latch and small casement window to right. Gable-end stacks, that to left part projecting part corbelled. Interior has stone fireplace with corbelled keyed lintel, plank and muntin partition wall between cottages.
