3/140 Cowhouse and Barn - approximately 40 yards West of Lane End Farmhouse
G.V. II
Former barn now cowhouse and loft. Probably C18 with later alterations. Coursed and squared rubble with ashlar quoins and dressings; clay tile roof with coped verges. Threshing floor to North of centre, cow house to South with loft over. 2 windows, to left and right; lower part fixed, upper part pivoted; 2 board doors, left and right of centre; right hand door and window have been inserted into the tall blocked barn doorway; this has a segmental arch and dripstone and retains part of one door in the top left hand corner which now opens to a loft. C20 lean-to buildings adjoin to left and right of facade.
