SHUSTOKE SHAWBURY LANE SP2490 (West side) 14/200 Church End Barn, approx. 20m E of the Old Rectory

GV II Barn. C18 extended at south-east end C19. Red brick Flemish bond on coursed and dressed sandstone piinth. Plain-tiled roof. Original plan of 2 bays, extended in C19 at south-east end by one bay. On west side is original doorway in segmental arch with later split door. C19 addition of similar red brick and plain-tiled roof. Interior: Central truss of upper cruck construction. Cruck blades on transversal ceiling beam with spurs to wall plate joined by a collar. There is an original doorway in the former south gable of the barn.
