Row of 7 estate worker's cottages. Early C19 probably by Peter Atkinson (York) based on a plan by John Carr for Edward Lascelles, 1st Earl of Harewood. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate roof. L-shaped. 2 storeys, 11 x 9 bays. Ashlar plinth. Each has doorway with overlight to one side of windows both with wedge-shaped monolithic lintels cut with false voussoirs the windows with projecting sills. Nos 86, 87 have doorways paired. Hipped roof with 2 ashlar ridge stacks to each range and another smaller stack to No 82 which has its entrance facade on the right-hand return: 3 bays with central doorway.
