7/231 Nos. 1, 4 and 5 Crabtree Fold, Old Town House and 1.11.66 attached barn (formerly listed as Crabtree Farmhouse and Old Town House)

Back-to-back houses and attached barn, late C18 and early C19. Hammer-dressed stone, ashlar quoins, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. North front has 3 bays of flat faced mullioned windows altered to wide lights and doorway with monolithic jambs. Barn has semi-circular-arched cart entry with simple Venetian window over. To the left of entry 3 arch-headed ventilators. Attached to north west end of barn is single-cell cottage (No. 4) back-to-back with No. 5. 5-light window with 6-light window over. Coped gables with kneelers. Left hand return wall has central doorway for Old Town house to rear which has finer dressed stone (C19) and 3 bays of flat-faced mullioned windows of 4 lights, 5 lights and 4 lights to each floor. Interior reveals in attic windows from earlier house now blocked and with C19 bay in front. Originally L-shaped up to barn which breaks forward and has 5- light window with raised central light (blocked) with columbarium over. Semi- circular arched cart entry with altered Venetian window to right. 4 stacks to roof.
