Substantial house, forming part of terrace of houses . 1883-4. Designed by J J Stevenson. Flemish revival manner. Red brick; pink terracotta dressings. Roofless, owing to fire damage. 3 storeys plus roof storey. Irregular composition of 7 main bays wide. Square headed entrance to third bay from right in projecting porch with rusticated architrave and scrolled cartouch over, beneath cornice, segmental headed carriage entrance to left. Round headed windows to ground floor. Square headed windows above, those to first floor with terracotta architraves and scrolly pediments, those to third floor with moulded terracotta features above window heads. Architraves to attic windows 2-light casements (sashes to second and third floors ); plate glass, 3 bays to right above ground floor forming canted bay window. Left hand bay forming corner 'turret ', corbelled out at first floor level, with decorative terracotta top stage and lead covered ogee dome above. The width of the facade to the left of the turret divided between 2 - scrolly gables with oval window in the apex of each, both having decorative architraves cornice above second floor. 3 tall moulded chimneys.
