TQ 2980 NW CITY OF WESTMINSTER REGENT STREET Wl 70/93 (east side) 22-11-73 Nos 132 to 154 (even) (Chesham House) GV II Block of offices and shops. c. 1923-25 by H. Tanner. Portland stone facing, slate roof. Neo-Classical Beaux Arts style. 5 storeys and attics. 9 major bays. Podium ground floor with pilasters carrying entablature; mid C20 shop fronts inserted. The upper floors articulated by giant order with centre and end bays having Corinthian columns in antis and pilasters in between, framing bays of 3 metal casement windows, those on 1st and 2nd floors to centre of each bay set in architraved recesses with console-bracketed pediment over on 3rd floor. The giant order contains the 4th floor as a frieze below entablature, the windows of centre and end bays flanked by carved panels of triumphal ornament. Dentil cornice to attic storey.
