- II
Chapel of Ease, to Whitchurch. 1854. Single cell. Rubble walls with stone dressings and stone gable copings. Slate roof. Sanctus Bell at west gable end. Rectangular plan. One storey. 4 bays. Paired lancet windows. Porch on north side with stone gable coping and pitched slate roof. Stone cross at apex. East window of 3 lancets. Interior: roof of low pitch with collar beam trusses bolted through. One set of purlins and ridge-piece. Wall shafts carried on plain corbels. Fittings: small octagonal font with octagonal stem and base, C-19. Stained glass, semi-abstract by A E Buss, 1967. Altar room flooring of rough and polished slate squares by John Stark and Partners, 1963.
Inscription in capitals over porch entrance: "Him That Cometh Unto Me I Will In No Wise Cast Out". "RCHM, Dorset I", p 263 (2). "N Pevsner, Dorset", p 205.
