House. Mid C18 with early C19 range to south and other alterations. Whitewashed
brick. C18 range with plain tile roof, C19 work with slate roofs. Original
block of 2 storeys and dormer attic in 3 bays. Panelled door in left bay with
panelled reveals and moulded timber door case. 4-vaned fanlight above. 2 sashes
to right and 3 to first floor, all C19 with glazing bars and gauged skewback
arches. Dentil timber eaves cornice below gabled roof. 2 segmental dormers.
External south stack and internal north gable stack. Gable heads have
tumbling. To north a single bay, 2 storey extension contemporary with south
block : one first floor sash modillion eaves cornice and hipped slate roof.
South block south front of 2 storeys in 2 window bays. Sash windows with
glazing bars under gauged skewback arches. Ground floor windows extend to
ground. Paired modillion eaves cornice below hipped roof. Single bay returns,
that to east with blind windows. To west an attached building (Lodge Cottage).
2 storeys to north : C20 door and 3 C20 casements, dentil eaves cornice and
hipped slate roof. Stack on west roof slope. Early C19 casements to south
front and 2 dormers in roof.
