Two cottages. Dated 1770. Callow brick, English bond, part rendered.
Possibly with some rubblestone to rear wall. Buff, triple roll pantile roof
of steep pitch possibly raised, with tumbled end parapets on kneelers. Dentil
eaves cornice. One ridge stack and end stacks, including one added later.
One storey and attic. Three C19 gable dormers. Dentil brick band above original
segmental arches to three window openings with later casements and two doorways.
No. 1 has its original door with six raised and fielded panels. Stone panel
to front wall, now painted, with initials RWH and date 1770. Inside: One room
has original panelling to fireplace wall and newel staircase at side of hearth.
Similar ceiling joists as Nos. 2, 4 Briggate East, and vertical panelling in hall.
