Single cottage, formerly two. Mid-C18. Rubble-stone walls, washed and rendered. Slate roof, with gable ends. One rendered stack at centre of former left hand cottage. One rendered stack at rear eaves. One and a half storeys. Four windows, wooden casements with glazing bars. Segmental window-heads to ground floor windows. C20 front door and porch. Plank wooden door at left hand. Gable end to lane with attic window. Forms a matching pair with The Shieling.
