GV II
House, now bank. Late C17. Some C20 alterations. Brick, English bond with dressings and details of dressed limestone, probably Ketton. On plinth with splayed upper edge, and rendered. Roof, now covered with asbestos slates, hipped at junction of two ranges. Wood modillion eaves cornice and original parapetted gable ends with ridge stack of dressed stone with entablature and two similar end stacks, also late C17. L-plan. Two storeys and attic. One gable dormer. Each elevation is framed by rusticated quoins of dressed stone and divided by a moulded stone band. Market Street elevation has original raised stone surrounds with keyblocks to five window range of C19-C20 hung sashes. Four similar windows at ground floor, one blocked. Doorway, with doorcase of stone, mid C20. Queen Street elevation is also in five bays and has five similar surrounds to C19-C20 windows at both first and ground storeys.
