SD 51 SE 2/60 HAIGH Standish Lakeside Cottages, Nos. 9 and 10

(Formerly listed as Lakeside Cottage, Nos. 9 and 10, RED ROCK LANE (north side))

GV II Pair of houses. One lintel reads: "WJR 1862". For dye works company. Stucco with pebble-dash, and slate roof. Two storeys, two gabled bays; returns have gabled projections. Pebble-dash first-floor with stucco strips to angles. Wide eaves and verges. Plain barge boards and finial. Windows have chamfered reveals and label moulds. No. 9 has sashes, with vertical glazing bars, No.10 has casements. Entrance to return projections have label moulds. Central stack.

An interesting example of early workers' housing.
