School, now forming house. Dated 1805. Hammer-dressed stone, ashlar dressings, stone slate roof. Quoins, band, stone gutter, coped gables with kneelers. 2 storeys to north, 3 storeys to south. North facade fronts road. 3 bays of double chamfered mullioned windows flanked at either end by doorways, that to left has inscribed tablet over which reads: Train up a Child in the way he should go and, when he is old he will not depart from it. prov: XXII.6 1805 Thos. Ashworth Sculp. 1st 2 bays have 3-light windows to each floor. 3rd bay has 2-light window to lst floor door entry to former school room. Venetian windows to both floors with moulded impost and dropped keystone. Rear has band above basement 3 bays of windows to 1st aid 2nd floors. 4-light with same over (both with 2 mullions removed). Other 2 bays have 6-light windows with 4-light window over. Right hand return wall has Venetian window to both floors. Central stack to ridge.
