6/12 Hill Farmhouse.
- 1/6/67 - II
Farmhouse: late C17 with C18 and C20 alterations and additions. Washed and rendered English garden wall bond brick. Welsh slate roof and 2 brick chimneys, 1 lateral with zig-zag tilework between the flues. L-shaped in plan. 2-storey, 2-bay north front. Left end bay projects under gable and has a band at 1st floor. 3-light casements, the upper with glazing bars, under weak segmental heads. Similar window in other bay. Door in east side behind lean-to porch and remains of dentilated band to the rear. Interior: Kitchen has cambered chamfered oak fire beam over a low inglenook with a brick fireplace behind with small rectangular ovens to either side (doors lost). Main room has chamfered ceiling beam and cross beams with fillet and tongue stop. Firebeam is faced with bead moulds and has an added cornice. Repaired board doors with iron strap hinges.
