House of mid C17 with added porch dated 1700. The house is attached to earlier double-aisled barn possibly C16. Large dressed stone, stone slate roof. 3-room, baffle entry plan. 2 storeys. South front has double chamfered mullioned windows to ground floor and chamfered mullioned to 1st floor. Reads: two 2-light windows to service end with light open between (lacking mullions), 4-light windows over (lacks 2 mullions). Gabled single storey porch has copings and kneelers, plinth, open doorway with depressed Tudor arch with sunken spandrels and cyma moulded surround. Decorative tablet bears date and initials W G. 2-light window over. 5-light window (lacks 2 mullions) to housebody with 4-light window (lacking 2 mullions) over. Inserted doorway, C19. 5-light window (lacks 2 mullions) with 4-light over (lacks 2 mullions). Single stack to ridge. Right hand return wall has coped gable with kneelers of same shape as porch, and extruded stack with many offsets. Rear has 2-light chamfered windows to service room. 3-light double chamfered fire-window (lacks mullions) with small chamfered light over. At right angles added kitchen range of single cell and 2 storeys. Late C18 or early C19. Watershot masonry, quoins, coped gable with kneelers and stack, flat faced mullioned windows of 2-wide lights to both floors. 1st floor taking-in door to gable. Interior: Housebody has bressumer beam supported on stop chamfered post. Chamfered door entry to left of heck to service room. Aisles to barn break forward to both front and rear and are coped with kneelers. Semi-circular cart entry (blocked) to north. Square headed entry set within a portal (of aisle) to south. Mistal door to right has quoined lintel. Stop chamfered surround. Other mistal door in re-entrant angle of portal has segmental arched lintel, chamfered surround. Barn of 4 bays retains 2 original Queen strut trusses, one carried on posts with curved braces.
