7/189 Lumbutts House
G.V. II
House, originally mill owners house to Lumbutts Old Mill (q.v.). Mid C19. Ashlar, stone slate roof. 2-storey front, 3-storey to left hand return. 3-bay symmetrical front with rusticated quoins, eaves band and moulded gutter brackets. Doorway with plain stone surrounds has cornice with convex moulding. Sashed windows with plain stone surrounds and projecting sills. Coped gables with kneelers, single stack to ridge. Right hand return wall has stilted arche carriage entry on skewbacks. Band and 3-light flat faced mullioned window to each floor. Rear of 2 storeys has 2 doorways with tie-stones (the right hand now window) and 3-light window to each floor.
