Details
WISBECH NORTH BRINK TF 4509 7/196 No. 72 (Elgoods Brewery) GV II
Brewery built c.1795 by Denis Herbert of Royston. Local brown brick; hipped plain tile and slated roofs. Main facade facing river Nene of six bays and two storeys with cartway to left of centre. Parapet and large pediment with stone copings and ogee brackets to cornice. Giant pilasters at quoins, stone band at first floor cill height, and stone cills to ground floor windows. Stone jambs and arch to segmental headed archway. Six first floor recessed four-light windows with segmental arches include three with boarded shutters.
