House. C17 core, C19 and C20 alterations. Whitewashed cob to rear, whitewashed
rubble stone to front. Wheat reed thatched roof with gabled ends, brick chimney
to left gable end, brick stack at junction between builds, front lateral stack
with brick shaft. The lower end, under a slightly lower Norfolk reed thatch roof
was rebuilt late C20, floor level considerably lower than higher end. Entrance on
front into stair hall which may have been former through or cross passage. Single
depth plan, 2 rooms wide with circa C19 lean-to with slate roof adjoining at left
end. 2 storeys. 2-window front with C19 timber studded front door under canopy.
Ground floor window left large late C19/early C20 2-light casement, 3 panes per
light. Similar first floor window to right 4 lateral stack. Interior Fireplace
to lateral stack partly blocked. 2 chamfered, stopped cross beams of heavy
scantling with moulded axial beams. Roof space inaccessible at time of survey,
1984.
