Details
STANHOPE A689 (North side) NY 93 NW Westgate 19/128 New Park and 31.1.67 cottage adjoining (formerly listed as Park House) GV II
House with extensions. Early C18 and late C18. Sandstone rubble with quoins on large plinth. Artificial stone roof. Two storeys; house 3 wide, irregular bays; end cottages 1 wide bay each. Large, central projecting gabled porch has central C20 door, and small window in left return. Right cottage, now incorporated into house, has C20 door inserted. Varied late C19 and C20 windows, mainly in old chamfered openings under hoodmoulds; window above porch retains its mullion. Cottages have late C19 sashes with stone lintels and projecting sills. Cornice-banded chimneys at ends of house and cottages.
