5/215 The Thatched House -
GV II
House, at one time 2 cottages. C17, C19 remodelling. Rendered with thatched roof and brick gable end chimneys. Single depth plan. 2 storeys. 4 window range. All windows have large lattice glazing bars of circa 1840. 2 C19 plank front doors under slated canopies carried in brackets. 4 ground floor windows of various sizes each 2-light casements under slate drip ledges. 4 first floor windows: left, 3-light casement; one from left, 2-light casement; one from right, wider 2-light casement; right, similar. Date of 1609 scratched in plaster above door on left. Interior not inspected. Cottages used at one time for servants at Pudners (q.v).
