Mansion. Plaque on north side reads 'Rebuilt on this spot 1814 S.K.' (Samuel Kilderbee); above is a datestone of 1708 which may come from the previous house. Grey brick with moulded brick cornice, stucco porch, shallow pitch slated roof. 2 storeys. Symmetrical entrance front with 5 window range, 2:1:2, sashes with glazing bars in cased frames, flat brick arches; left hand 2 bays are dummy painted windows; centre window has broad architrave with fluted pilasters. Single storey flat-roofed porch: engaged Ionic columns to either side of door, pilasters, entablature; good 8-panel door with raised and fielded panels, narrow sash windows to each side. Garden (south) front with 7 window range, 3:1:3, sashes as entrance front, the first floor windows with louvred shutters; central tripartite doorway with pilasters, entablature, glazed doors; above is a 3-light segmental-headed window. Servants wing adjoining to north: red brick, faced with grey brick, slated roof; 8 window range, sashes with glazing bars. Interior with plaster vault and circular lantern to staircase hall, staircase with wrought iron handrail; good 6-panel mahogany doors with inlay.
