SIDMOUTH ROAD 1. 1357 (South Side) Gatesfield SY 3391 2/201 II 2. Formerly known as Holme Cleve. 1828 with later C19 additions. South-east facing front to garden comprises tall 3-storey 3 bay centre block flanked to either side by a lower wing. 3-storey centre block with roughcast front and bracketed eaves. On 2nd floor, 2 3-panes wide sash windows with louvred shutters. On 1st floor 3 3-panes wide sash windows without shutters. On ground floor, wide 5-light splayed bay with entablature and bracket eaves cornice. To left hand, 3-storey, 1-bay wing standing on lower ground. One sash window 3 panes wide with shutters on both 1st and 2nd floors. On ground floor, external stair connects this wing with centre block. To right hand of centre block, 2-storey 2-bay wing with bracketed eaves. Left hand bay has sash window 3 panes wide above with late C19 or later French casement with side lights below. Right hand bay is bowed; on 1st floor there are a sash window with glazing bars in each return of bow and one in centre; on ground floor, there are a sash window to each return of bow and a fixed window in the centre. Coved verandah on slender metal supports before ground floor.
