House, C15 with alterations of c.1600 and c.1850. A 3-cell open hall house; 1 1/2 storeys and attics. Timber-framed and rendered. Thatched roof with eyebrow casement dormers; C16 axial and C19 gable chimneys of red brick. 2- and 3- light C19 windows with small-paned wrought iron casements, the top row of panes with arched heads. C20 oak-boarded entrance door and open timber porch with lean-to thatched roof. The C15 core much damaged by C17 and C19 alterations; the hall open truss has an arch-braced cambered tie-beam, with pilasters beneath the braces; it formerly had a 4-way braced crownpost. C.1600, the crown-post roof replaced by clasped purlin roof, and chimney built backing onto the cross-passage; 1st floor of elm inserted into hall. Divided into 3 cottages c.1850.
