Details
1. STILE LANE 1357 (East Side) Stile House Hotel SY 3392 3/190 II GV 2. Early to mid C19. 3 storeys. Stuccoed front. From left hand end, bay one has 2-light casements on 2nd floor, and a sash window with glazing bars on both 1st and ground floors, bay 2 has a 2-light casement on 2nd floor and a sash on 1st floor; on ground floor 6-panelled door (middle 2 panels glazed) within wood trellised porch, to right of it, 3-light sash and to right again a half-glazed door within wood trellised porch. At right hand end, front projects to form a bow; sash windows with glazing bars on each floor.
The Stile House Hotel and wall forms a group with Nos 1 and 2 Pound Street, The Peek Memorial chapel, Hotel Alexandra, Nos 1 and 2 Alexandra Cottage, Nos 5 and 6, St Michaels Hotel and Shamien Hotel, Pound Street.
