- II
House, formerly farmhouse. C17, C19 alterations. Cob on stone plinth, left front stone rubble to first floor level. Colourwashing and plastering underway at time of survey, 1984. Corrugated asbestos roof with gable ends, massive projecting stack at right gable end, brick chimney at left gable end. Original plan probably 2 rooms and through or cross passage, stair inserted in passage. Rear outshut. 2 storeys. 3 window slightly asymmetrical front. Central timber doorway leads into stair hall. Late C19 ground floor windows: 2-light casements, 6 panes per light. Original C17 2-light timber casement off-centre above front door blocked in but retaining frame during time of survey, 1984. First floor C20 windows left and right casements with sills and heads at different levels, 2 panes per light. Ground floor room right has large fireplace with fireplace beam with step stops. 4 trusses with collars halved and pegged, 1 truss has failed, 1 has mortices for 2 tiers of threaded purlins.
