1/10 Cherry Tree Farmhouse -

Former farmhouse, mid or late C16 with C17 extensions. Originally of 2-cell end-chimney plan. 1 storey and attics. Timber-framed and pebble-dashed. Concrete plaintiled roof, half-hipped at the service end to right. Gabled casement dormers and a C19 axial chimney of red brick. Late C20 horizontal sliding sashes with small panes. C20 entrance porch at cross-passage position, with gabled roof and glazed 2-panelled door. Heavy unchamfered 1st floor joists are exposed in the hall and service room. Complete coupled rafter roof. A parlour was added to left beyond the large external chimney, in early or mid C17; clasped-purlin roof. A short wing behind the service end was added in C17/C18.
