Pair of town houses, early C18. Red brick in Flemish bond. Both formerly had slate roofs but No.5 now has large C20 concrete tiles. 2 storeys and attic, 3 bays each. Sashes with exposed weight boxes, glazing bars, stone sills and flat arches with keystones. Attic windows are casements in gabled dormers with barge boards. Six-panel doors with raised and fielded panels, external eaved architraves and wide linings and rectangular overlights. At the rear (east) an original, tall, metal staircase window. Gable-end and party wall stacks. Interior: Six-panel doors, mainly at first floor level. Open newel staircases with crossed balustrade members in Chinoiserie style. Ledged and battened doors at attic level.
