4/4 Hermitage Bridge
- II
Bridge over the River Dane 1772 (carved in the parapet). Red sandstone coursed rubble. Single segmental arch with projecting carriageway ring the top edge of which is faceable with the parapet. Humped carriageway paved with stone setts. Splayed out approach parapets without end piers. Deeply bevelled parapet copings. The initials IA and the date are deeply cut into the south end of the east parapet.
