GV II

2 houses with attached steps and railings. Late C18, with late C20 alterations. Brick with stone dressings and slate roof. Plinth, first floor band, rebated eaves, 2 gable stacks. 2 storeys plus basement; 3 window range. slightly projecting central bay with round headed recess containing a round headed glazing bar sash. On either side, a taller glazing bar sash with rubbed brick head and half-round stone balcony with wrought iron railing. Below, central segment headed carriage opening with rusticated head and keystone. On either side, single reeded doorcases with open pediments on curved brackets. Moulded 6-panel door to left, C20 door to right, both with overlights. Beyond, to left, glazing bar sash with rubbed brick head. Beyond, to right, C20 casement. Outside, rebuilt brick embanking wall topped with spearhead cast iron railing. Curved stone steps to each door, with stone newels containing scrapers.
